As we head into week 7 of the NFL season there’s currently a team sitting at 5-1 that everyone thought would be 1-5 by now.
The Dallas Cowboys are 5-1 right now…
What?
Yes, after losing the season opener to the 49ers they are currently riding a five game win streak. One of those wins were beating the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks.
The Cowboys were the NFL’s this underdogs this season coming into the season with one of the leagues worst defenses last year losing Sean Lee, Ware, and having a beat up 34 year old quarterback.
Fast Forward to week 7 and the team has a lot to be happy about.
Demarco is literally running through defenses and setting records
Romo is still playing amazing and making defenders miss. I’m looking at you JJ Watt.
The defense is playing just fine with out their leader Sean Lee.
The offensive line is playing spectacular.
And of surprisingly Terrence Williams is leading the Cowboys in touchdowns.
At this point some Cowboys fans are think what could possibly go wrong? One word. Eight letters.
DECEMBER!
This season has been a surprise to most and personally I’m even impressed by the teams success. But we can’t forget that somehow, some way the Cowboys self destruct in the month of December. It’s almost as if the team is allergic to the playoffs and want to avoid it all costs. The past three seasons the Cowboys are 0-3 in games that will get them into the post season. So to all of the Cowboys fans keep calm right now and stop handing out Super Bowl predictions.
The Cowboys we are witnessing right now have the ability to make a deep playoff run. Let’s see if they look the same a month and a half from now.
